Cracklin' Arteries
Did you know that the supposedly healthy breakfast cereal Kellogg's Cracklin' Oat Bran has a hefty l.5 grams of trans fat per portion, according to the March issue of Consumer Reports? Health experts believe trans fat is more harmful than saturated fat because it lowers the level of good cholesterol in the blood. Researchers blame excess intake of trans fat for thousands of deaths in the U.S. annually.
