Time to Get Your Butt to the Gym!

It's time to learn the hard facts of diet life, boys and girls. You simply cannot effectively lose and keep the weight off without exercising regularly. In the back of your mind, you know this is true. Still, there is a part of you that wants to believe in the diet fairy, that there is a magical combination of rich, forbidden foods that can be scarfed down while you grow mold on your sofa. Your irrational belief in the diet fairy is the reason why the diet book section of the local Barnes & Noble is larger than your Manhattan apartment. It's the reason why Suzanne Somers will never be forced to do another cheesy Lifetime movie to pay the rent. It's the reason why people, including famous athletes, are mindlessly popping the dangerous and unproven diet supplement, ephedra (read more about the this in the Newsdesk). People, it's time to give up the ghost and GET REAL!

Make a promise to yourself today that you will commit three hours a week to vigorous exercise. Make sure you get the go ahead from your doctor first, particularly if you have a significant amount of weight to lose. Some of you are now thinking, I don't have time to breathe, let alone carve out three trips to the gym a week. Well, don't you think your quality of life is worth at least three hours a week? I know mine is worth a hell of a lot more.
