eaterywww.eaterynyc.com798 Ninth Avenue at 53rd Street Hours: 11:30am-11:00 pm (to 1:00 am Friday and Saturday) 212-765-7080-Reservations accepted Food Style: Light American Comfort Cuisine The first entry in the Dining Guide is my favorite little Hell's Kitchen bistro, eatery. Lots of great atmosphere, smart decor, and beautiful people artfully sipping martinis. More importantly, it's a good place to eat light and right. Suitable light and delicious appetizers: edamame, chili poached shrimp, black mussels (skip the bread!). Entrees: Pan seared Atlantic salmon, grilled Asian chicken salad (don't eat the fried noodles), chili-spiked meatloaf (yes, you can eat meatloaf, but try to only eat half of the mashed potatoes that come with the dish), jerk chicken (easy on the sweet potato mash) Notes: Avoid the tasteless, greasy foam chips that will be placed on the table after drinks are served. If you can't resist, have the server remove them. As for dessert, either abstain or opt for the fresh fruit with lavendar sauce. |
